This reminds me of the poem by Robert Browning (and yes, I had to Google for the author *g): "Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be, the last of life for which the first was made." Not that Ray's exactly old here, but it fits. Gorgeous story, I really like it.

I got started writing this thinking about what Fraser would be like if he became confident enough in their relationship to take Ray for granted, without the exploitative connotations. Was a fun train of thought, and I'm delighted you like the resulting fic. Thanks!
