(Grr! I emailed you back a while ago. I can't handle this unreliable getting-throughness, man. It fucks with my understanding of the universe. It's like breathe in ... what comes next? Nothing. *weeps for the holes in the internets where my emails go*)

Right. Will do the whole posting thing soonish. And I meant to get the Flashpoint snippet up but didn't get to it. I'm just failing a whole lot this weekend.

Bitchin'. And, with utmost love, I am surgically removing "I fail" from your vocabulary. No more! There is do or not do, there is no fail. That is my word and it is law.

In my defense, I spent the weekend curled up on the bed with my laptop and a box of ice cream sandwiches. I didn't exactly demonstrate a whole lot of focus or drive or, you know. Vitality. So I guess in general, this weekend I did not do. Much of anything at all.
(Except! I made a salad out of things I grew in the yard. That was pretty damn cool. So cool that I almost bought a $100 pressure cooker to celebrate, before I remembered that I'm scared of pressure cookers.)

Hee! I think this is a lovely weekend and I applaud its vision. \ice cream sandwiches/
(Ooh, nice. Very damn nice. I lack a garden at the moment, which is terribly frustrating when it's peak veggie season. I will give a happy to home to the overplanted zucchini! Please, sir, may I have some more?
Pressure cookers are scary. I mean, lots of people love them a lot and I'm sure I would if I ever got one and used it and all, but eesh! Pressure! Heat! Danger, kitchen ceiling, danger!)

(Gardens are brilliant and I can't believe I lived without one for so long. All that produce! Just...sitting outside the back door!
Sadly, I have no zucchini. I will next year, though. This year it's just tomato and green pepper and lettuce and herbs. Lots of herbs. It was worth it just for the rosemary and oregano and spearmint.)
Pressure cookers whistle and rattle and sometimes they explode. How can that possibly be safe? I mean, yes. The canning and fast cooking are great. But it's like a tiny aluminum bomb. I don't trust them. They're shady.
