The Dragoons helped while Xigbar actually took the rooms. They guarded Xigbar, and supported Xaldin. Xaldin had to recover from the shifting while avoiding screaming. They didn't want anyone to know they were there, after all.
And again when they get to their new home - the rapid shifting from world to world with less than ten minutes in between sends him into convulsions that cause the Dragoons to dismiss themselves.
