I bought some really nice dress clothes a few weeks ago to replace a lot of the older clothing I've been wearing for the past few years. I felt, and still feel, it's a good time to change. It's time to stop dressing the same as I have been since High School, in which my wardrobe has always looked a bit...I don't know, used. Maybe very used. I think I'll be happy knowing I take some pride in my appearance, while I used to not care what I threw on every day. For example, I had a favorite striped t-shirt around 1994 which I would always wear when I wasn't wearing my Ministry, Fugazi or Cure t-shirts. I loved this shirt. There was a day I was wearing it over to my girlfriend Claudia's place, which she had 3 or 4 large dogs living there. They felt the need to be dogs that day and once of them tugged on my shirt hard enough to make a HUGE rip around the stomach area. So at that point, I could care less about how I looked because I liked the shirt so much and just kept wearing it for the next year or so. I think someone did me the favor of stealing it and throwing it out.
It's still expensive to look nice, but maybe the investment will be worth how I feel about my appearance.
FYI: Still working on website design, I just don't feel like working on it most of the time.
