Yeah I felt like we'd hijacked her journal too, oopsie! Lol.
I'm not banning ALL the bad food, but I was just put on a strict no dairy diet for breast feeding. So that's an adjustment. I figure if I start out being a bit heavy on the super health foods, then by the time he's eating solids, I'll have relaxed enough in it to have a nice balace. In cases of extreme obesity in this country, I feel alot of time it is the family's faults. You cant have a baby and start pounding fast food in enormous quantities down here throat as soon as she's walking. All that baby will know is junk, and large portions. My husband is British and even though they're getting to a point where obesity is a problem, they still, as a whole, have smaller portions and healthier diets. America doesn't have that. Living in the deep south, weight and unhealthy eating habits are so much worse in this part of the country. The midwest isn't perfect, but the people are nicer, better educated and generally healthier. I hate it down here. I can totally relate to the wanting to move.
Where do you come from? Im from Ohio personally. American as far back as anyone can remember, but in alot of ways Im becoming so ashamed and frustrated at how our Government is treating other countries and it's own people. It's a shame. I just can't believe the American people have let it get this far.
Im jealous that you have a 6 month old! I have a boy, and I can't wait until he's old enough to sleep through the night. Im so exhausted all the time. Do you have a boy or girl? What did you name him or her? We chose Mason Pierce. My husband was convinced it was a girl until the 20 week ultrasound and refused to chose a boy's name until he saw those extra bits. If he were a girl, his name would have been Sydney Temperance.
How long did it take you to get used to all this "Mommy" business? Im still in shock!
