Haiti Donations Needed...The Shilling Continues

Jun 07, 2010 08:48

Some of you have been clamoring for a list of some small items that I still need for my volunteer physical therapy trip to Haiti.  While enjoying the awesome breakfast at Zazie the other day, the reuster helped me brainstorm a list.  And here it is:
  • shower flip flops
  • sunblock (prefer baby or sensative skin with at least 30 SPF--hey, I'm pale)
  • waist passport wallet (like this)
  • q-tips (in small travel package)
  • travel laundry soap (2 packs max)
  • plastic water bottle with clip
  • travel towel
  • aloe vera gel (small)
  • travel sink stopper
  • plastic coated bike chain (short)
  • small, travel first aid kit (claratin, nyquil day tabs, pepto tablets)
  • travel sarong
  • small flip notebook (tiny $0.99 spiral bound kind)

And some supplies I would like to take and leave at the clinic:
  • bandage scissors
  • tweezers
  • 1-2 pairs scrubs (XL)
  • hand sanitizer (small/medium size)
  • box of guaze and/or rolls of kerlix (must be sealed/sterile)
If your generosity leans in this direction, just PM me and I'll share my address.  Also, if you're commiting to any of these items, please hit 'reply' and state which ones to cut down on unneeded duplicates.

Rather support some of the costs? Check out the current needs on my end as far as cash donations at my blog.  I take PayPal with donations as small as $1.  Every little bit is appreciated and needed.

Or donate directly to the clinic I will be volunteering with online at www.advantagehaiti.com.

Lastly, friend my blog's feed (http://syndicated.livejournal.com/ptwilltravel/) so you can get posts during my trip and photos!

volunteer, haiti, donate
