Graig Kent reviews Rex Libris #7 by James Turner at
Rack Raids, saying there is "no better place to start" reading Rex Libris if you haven't yet done so.
Not only that, but James's art is getting even awesomer, and so is Rex himself: "Turner injects a sense of heroic duty, humor and full-bore adventure into his protagonist, which at this point is lifting the status of the character towards Indiana Jones or Hellboy status."
James also gets extra credit points for the eight-page, densely-packed-with information excerpt from the book in which Rex has been trapped for the last couple of issues, El Compendio Illustrado de La Morfologia del Monstruos del Paleozoico al Cenozoico del Cryptozoologisto Internatcionalmente Aclamado Juan E. Strozzi el Loco.
That's page 28 at left, showing an excerpt of a section that will teach you about Space Molluscs. Did you know that "There are several hundred species of space molluscs in the Sol system"? No? Well, then you'd better get studying. And you know you have to read about The Crustacean Exiles of Venus. How could you not?
