Okay, technically it's a tropical depression or something like that now, but whatever, IT'S RAINING SO FREAKING MUCH.
Not even kidding, it rained all day yesterday, starting the night before, not letting up very much; it's still raining, and there are TWO bodies of water near our house, one a stream (now more of a creek) a few yards away from the house, the other a large creek that separates us from our neighbors, past the barn and the pastures. Mom and I went to look at both of them late last night, and they are high and running like rivers. o_o
Part of the path that leads to the bridge that goes over the large creek is already flooded. Most of the lawn is squishy and soggy.
And it's still raining.
The Weather Channel is forecasting thunderstorms for tonight and tomorrow (and scattered thunderstorms for the rest of the week; the only soothing thing about their forecast was the light jazz music. DX), and since the lights were dimming last night with only RAIN, I'd say the power's pretty likely to go out.
I'm kind of really freakin' nervous right now, because the threat of flooding seems way more imminent than usual, and I can't remember when the little stream near our house last went over the banks, and our basement floods VERY easily, and my mom has cats down there, and OMG, WTF. D8
So yeah, just letting you all know, in case you don't see me around on the other places on the 'net I frequent tonight/tomorrow, more than likely a power outage will be why. -_-'
