Do you have pink headphones?

I has pink headphones :3

Sorry about the swarm of posts lately; after I decided that I'd blog frequently like this, I didn't have enough online time to do much on LJ for a few days, and because I usually write my blog posts offline in wordpad, they got a little backed up ._.'
After this post, I'll probably make a small post about today, then I'll take a little break.

First, I'm gonna say a few words about...
...American Idol.

Yeah, yeah, I know, nearly all the people I know either don't watch it or quit watching it, and honestly, I don't blame them, but I have two friends here who DO watch it, and one's moving to Switzerland this weekend and won't be able to see the last half of it, and that person happens to be my best friend, to whom I promised would keep up-to-date on it, sooo just deal with it, 'kay? :P

To be honest, I don't really like this season :/
It would be hard for a season not to pale in comparison to the 8th one (last year's), but this one definitely does. Plus too many of the people I liked from the get-go have gone home early.
So this week's results didn't make me happy at all -_-

I admit it, I like Siobhan. She may not have been the best singer EVER, and the claims of her being like Adam Lambert were a little exaggerated, but I liked her personality a lot, she was cute, and her singing wasn't bad, either.
And she made the BEST vampire in that lame Ford music video they showed during the results show, don't deny it. ;P
She had cool fashion sense, as well.
I'm not exactly the most fashionable girl around, but her outfits every week were always unique and/or interesting, and fitting to her personality. I don't normally fixate on people's clothes, but hers caught my attention, in a good way. Her style is like, cute with a punky edge.
My mom didn't like her much (didn't like her singing, or her eyebrows :/), but I kinda looked forward to seeing her every week.
This week was Shania Twain week. It didn't really hold my interest most of the time, honestly :/
She sang "Any Man of Mine", and while it wasn't her best, it wasn't BAD.
It was between her, Michael Lynch, and Casey James, in the bottom three.
I honestly would've picked either one of those guys over her to go home :|
Not that I hate them, but...ugh, it was just too early.

I hope she ends up doing something after AI, instead of fading into obscurity like so many of the others :/ I think her chances are good though.

Also, in something somewhat-related to American Idol...

The new Shrek movie.
Just WHAT have they decided on calling it?

Just about everything I see, from American Idol's in-show promotions of it, to my cinnamon toast crunch box, says it's called Shrek: Forever After, EXCEPT for the commercials, which all call it Shrek: The Final Chapter.
What the hell?! DX
Did they make a last-minute name change or something?
Well, I honestly hope the real title's the one on my cereal box, because I think it's a lot better. -_-

I wasn't really interested in the movie much to begin with, because I skipped renting Shrek the Third due to it looking AWFUL, but seeing the clips of this fourth one on American Idol, it looks like it might be cool o_o
"Might" being the key word there :P

It made me want to rewatch the two Shrek movies I like ._.'
I don't think I'm brave enough to endure the third one, lol.
I'm actually glad the francise is ending with this one, because I think they've milked it for too long :/

And, on another topic, maybe I've been watching too much of the California local stations on our satellite tv lately, but since when did Republicans become the only choice to govern California?! DX
Seriously, I haven't seen ONE ad for a Democrat yet.
(though that's probably because both the Republican candidates who've been running the ads are filthy rich -.-)
And all the Republican ads seem to blame "liberal policies" for everything that's wrong.
(oh, and Arnold Shwarzenegger, but I agree with them there, more than likely for different reasons than theirs -_-)
The one guy's political ad says that he's against "environmental extremism".
I don't know what kind of environmental extremism they have in mind, but when I think of environmental extremism, I think of people setting SUVs on fire in car dealerships.
I'm afraid to find out what that Republican guy, and others like him, would consider "environmental extremism" ._.
Pollution's bad enough in California, it doesn't need to get any worse. Or stay where it's at, for that matter.
I know, as a lifelong Pennsylvanian, I don't really have any experience or right to talk about this stuff, but I used to think that California was the most liberal state in the union; I don't know what the hell's happened in the last two years ._.
Or maybe I've just been naive. :/

(or, ya know, an east coaster)

Oh, yeah, and these are the three people I've liked from this season's American Idol who got kicked off too early:

John Park                          Lilly Scott                       Siobhan Magnus
(he needed work, but he had potential :/)    (I liked her Riku hair, lol)
                                                                      (and her singing, too)

...currently the only people I particularly like who are left are Lee Dewyze and Aaron Kelly, Lee for his Dave Matthew's Band-esque rock singing style, and Aaron because he's a good singer for his age, and, admittedly, that he's a small town Pennsylvania boy.
(Gotta root for the kids who get out of hickville and make something of themselves)

If they go in the next two weeks, I'm gonna have a hard time paying attention to the rest of this season :|
Crystal Bowersox is good, I like her too, but I'm not really crazy about her; she's gotten too much hype :/

But, I'll keep watching for my bestie ^^

Speaking of, Eva left for Switzerland today.
Trying hard not to get too down about it.
Even though she may not have internet access for two weeks after she gets there...

Welp, she can read these when she gets it at her family's new house ^_^

american idol, headphones, switzerland, environment, republicans
