Kasia- I agree with Kindli, just being there helps. You can always offer things like ginger ale, tea, soup. Not medicine, but definitely soothing.

I WANTED to make him tea. I offered to make him tea. Unfortunately, the silly boy doesn't like tea. I gave him water, but he didn't drink very much either (even though it was actually cold!). The stomachache didn't appear until later, and without a car, it would have probably taken me about an hour to buy ginger ale/sprite/sports drinks and he wanted me to stay nearby. There really aren't that many drugs for headaches and stomachaches anyway(I personally only take Advil when my brain is exploding and only have anti-acids with me), but he was also resisting other "home remedies" that I am used to.

The singing under my breath seemed to help Jason (the ex) when he got motion sickness/was tired on the bus on band trips, and Steve claims that it was a bit soothing (despite the fact that I'm still coughing/croaking), so it's not entirely for me. However, trying to remember lyrics also keeps me occupied/distracted so I don't dwell. And I just like singing.
