OOC--About the spawn

Apr 27, 2011 10:59

What are they?

The spawn are a species of parasitic/predatory worm-like creatures that use the bodies of vertebrates as a source of food, protection, a means of mobility (they have trouble getting around quickly on land on their own thanks to a lack of bones), and as an incubator for their young. They take on some of the characteristics of whatever creature they hatched inside in order to better adapt to whatever environment they find themselves in. They retain this ability to a much lesser extent throughout their lives by being able to steal fragments of memory and ability from the fresh brains of their various hosts.

This account is for four of these creatures that grew in and were, in a way, raised by a Slender Man by the name of Charles (slimdapperman).

Who are these creatures?

Cornelius- the most playful and energetic of the four; Easily the most attached to Charles. Tends to approach hunting and killing with a childlike glee.

Roderick- the "big brother" of the group; fond of Tim. Seriously hurt or, worse yet, kill any of its family and Roderick will hunt you down.

Victor- Generally somewhat more aggressive and prone to "playing" with its food than the others, but simultaneously more curious about humans and thus more likely to befriend them; prone to sudden outbursts of laughter when stressed or simply nervous. Distinguishable thanks to its red, wide-brimmed hat. Killed and ate Charles due to a misunderstanding (he got better). Due to past trauma associated with that incident, Victor will become very attached to and protective of anyone it considers a friend.

Lenora- Not entirely developed as a character yet, but has a preference for fine women's clothing and has demonstrated some compassion toward injured creatures.

What Slendy traits did they get?

Teleportation; long, elastic tentacles; the ability to somewhat mess up electronics; resistance to mind control (hasn't come up yet); great strength; a strong preference for tall human hosts; a taste for formal and business wear; habitual looming

How do they react to human characters?

Unless they find something intriguing about the character in question, they tend to ignore or hunt humans except for Tim (and Charles when he's human). Not showing any fear is a good way to pique their curiousity.
