recovery

I got through my intensive outpatient therapy program without killing anyone (most participants were extremely obnoxious, at least the last two weeks). The best thing I got out of it was structure and no copays to see my doctor as I waited for my mood stabilizer to start working. By the end, I felt "normal" and functional. Still need the antianxiety meds and a stimulant, but overall, not too many drugs. No antidepressants. Started working out at the YMCA and realized how horribly out of shape I am, so am taking it slow and working out at home as well. Finally got my room organized, only need to put up posters, organize files, and clean up clothes drawers, which are ongoing, non-immediate projects. Been experimenting with Indian cooking lately. Today I'm making a cauliflower curry. My tofu use is coming along better as well. Also, found out the trick to grandma's recipe for egg salad that I adore. I like my own egg salad too, but hers is so simple, yet delicious. Budgeted money for Xmas and will soon be back on track, and possibly able to save some $. Major goal is getting healthy: mind, body, and spirit. Finally acquired a library card and found some books on eastern philosophy. Other projects in the works are making pillows and paintings for gifts. I might get into making purses, but that is far off. I might even do Xmas cards this year as an outreach to family members I've been socially avoiding. I recently picked up an old box-phonograph, but am having some trouble getting the right needle for it, so utilizing it is on the back-burner. More later.
