A Weekend Full of Festivities
I met this guy online, his name is Kevin and he just moved here from South Carolina. He gave me his cell phone number and we've been chatting for a week. He wanted to go out on Friday so I picked him up and went to Oktoberfest at the Tempe Town Lake. The fair wasn't all that really, unless you are under 10 or over 21 (and he's 18). It's just a regular carnival with concerts for people of drinking-age. So we just walked around and then walked to Mill Avenue. There were so many hot guys on Mill and Kevin, being such a looker, got the attention of half of them and most of the girls. I told him I can use him as a gaydar, since I could just walk around him and take a mental note of who stares at him.
Then we went to the movies at Centerpoint (Mill and University) and saw "School of Rock", the theater was packed and the movie was really funny. Everybody just stayed for the entire credits to be over. Then we drove around and gave him a tour of ASU and downtown Phoenix.

On Saturday I picked him up to watch a movie at home with my friend Daniel. I just bought more than 6 DVDs and we watched "Coyote Ugly", we had all seen it but it seemed to be the best choice. Christian (my roommate) and his boyfriend showed up and watched the movie with us. Then we went to Hamburger Mary's to eat. We weren't really hungry but we shared appetizers while we played pool (I won... for some reason). There was this obnoxious drunk guy at the table next to us, his eyes almost closed he came to me and said:
"How did it go with that guy you were flirting with at Amsterdam?"
- It wasn't me, I didn't go to Amsterdam last night. I replied
Then he stared at me and said.
"Good, cuz that guy kinda was a sore in the eye".
Then he got back to his table, and then later on he was annoying a different guy and came to me and said:
"Hey... do you give a f&$k about what people think of you"
Then Kevin stood up and said:
"How about this? You leave and don't talk to us the entire night".
I thought they were going to fight, but the drunkard was there to have fun and took things the easy way. I pushed him back a little, shook his hand and wished him a good night. He just stood there.
"Are you going to stay standing there?" Kevin asked him.
"Yeah, for a little bit" he said.
Then these people showed up and set up a stand in the restaurant. One guy came up to as and handed us cards and then he said that if we gave him our email we would get free drinks.
"What type of website is it? What is it about".
- "It's a porn website, I'm next month's model".
I gave him back his card and said, "No thanks". How tacky was that. Underage kids, some of their moms and porn sites... in a restaurant. Plus the guy wasn't good-looking at all.
Karaoke started and being that none of us were going to sing we went to Daniel's apartment and watched "Sex in the City" while we waited for 1 O'Clock and Boom to allow 18-21 kids to get in. We got there right before one and I got in for $5, they got in at 1:20 AM and we danced a bit. Kevin took his shirt off and (according to Daniel) people were pointing at us (at him, I assume). Felipe and his friends (Eduardo included) showed up and we talked a little, but had to leave when their (girl) friend started puking.
We dropped off Kevin at around 4 AM and I spent the night at Daniel's.
