Over the past few days, I have whittled my inbox down to 20 or so. All that's left are LJ comments. I will, over the course of the next week, *finally* reply to those, and also throw some thoughts up here. My mind is full, but my schedule is...off.
Random things:
How is it that John Kerry "outed" Mary Cheney two weeks after Alan Keyes called her a selfish hedonist? We won't even get into the Coors thing.
Does it bother anyone else that Lynne Cheney gets to decide what version of history America's children are to study?
If George Bush were Mormon, or Muslim, or Christian Scientist, and stated publicly that his faith greatly influenced his decisions while in office, would America be just as pleased? In other words, is it simply being "religious" that gets you points?
Domestic policy: faith based initiatives, abstinence only sex education, social security, health care, military spending, medicare, environmental concerns, stem-cell research, Federal Marriage Amendment, homeland security. You think it was a good idea to go after Saddam? Fine - there's a whole lot more wrong with this administration. Take your pick.
Vote.
