Eurotrip/cruise

Right so now for my long detailed vacation post. *warms up fingers* Let's start where I left off.

People there are very fashionable. I saw a lot of skinny jeans, tunics, and really cute flats and sandals. It made me wish that I brought my own pair of skinny jeans. 'Course, then it got hot and I became very glad that I did not bring them.

We went into the San Lorenzo markets, which was gigantic. They had stalls for everything. Eggs, watermelons, pork, unrecognizable misshaped shellfish, velociraptors, you name it. (Kay not velociprators. I was watching The Lost World earlier today.)

That's candy, dudes.

And that...is a tomato. No joke.

We went to the Barcelona Cathedral and they had this small gated courtyard with geese inside. Thirteen to be exact. Their patron saint died when she was 13. As for the geese, that's up for debate as far as I'm concerned.

I also realized how much I love European architecture. All those arches and intricate details send me in an aesthetic whirlwind. That and I'm kind of sick of Asian architecture.

We went to Casa Mila, which was the house of this architect who did a lot of funky designs. This was his staircase:

When I get a house, my staircase is totally going to look like that. Though my foliage will most likely be fake.

We then went to the Sagrada Familia. Funkiest cathedral ever. It was started by the same architect of the Casa Mila.

After he died, the cathedral was still unfinished so other architects continued his work. It became this thing where architects would work on the Sagrada as their final project before retiring. As you can tell from the green fencing and construction looking stuff, it's still being worked on today.

We went to Parc Guell which is a big garden complex designed by the same architect again. Gorgeous garden.

But I get bored quickly if I'm not actively doing something so I took a lot of pictures. And my mom (and occasionally my brother) became my unofficial model.

Next day, my mom and I wandered the streets again and then this happened:

Yeah, that's right. You're not hallucinating. That is a guy in a bright neon green swimsuit. The same kind of swimsuit that Borat is quite famous for. I was blind for a good 20 minutes.

Alright, well this post isn't as long as I expected but I'm getting lazy and I'm really anxious to watch the Hanakimi episode as I have not done it yet. Shall continue this post later.
