hello!
So New York was great. The only downer was the fact that it was freezing and I got sick because of it. Let me see if I can tell you guys what I did day by day...
Saturday
Got to New York at 11
Went to Times Square and had some pizza (yum)
Went on the subway and went to Crown Heights, Brooklyn
Went to White Castle
Went to Juniors Restaurant
Sunday
Had breakfast in a corner shop
Went on the hop on/hop off tour bus
Went to Central Park West
Saw the Dakota, Strawberry Fields, and Alice in Wonderland Statue
For some reason, I'm really drawing a blank here.
I think I might have gone to Chinatown and Little Italy on this day
Ate at Lombardi's Pizzeria and then had dessert at this place called Caffe Roma (I had tiramisu and a cappuccino YUM)
Got back on the bus
Went on the Holiday Lights Tour (It was nice!)
Went to Rockefeller Center at some point and saw the saks 5th Avenue window displays which were oh so pretty)
Monday
Crap man, I don't know why I'm forgetting. Oh right I woke up sick on this day because the previous day it had rained and snowed and I had gotten wet. Of course being wet and being cold doesn't go together so I got sick :(
My sister, my cousin, and my cousin's husband went ahead on a ferry ride to the statue of liberty. I decided not to go because it was too cold to get on a ferry and I would've felt even worse if I got on one.
Went on the tour bus by myself for about 3 hours and met up with my sister at pier 17
Went back to Times Square
Went to Radio City Music Hall, Christmas Spectacular show (It was awesome!!! I want to be a rockette!)
Went to Empire State Building and on the way, saw the lord and taylor window displays which were beautiful!
Went to McDonalds on Times Square
Went back to the hotel
Tuesday
Went to Macy's and saw the wooden escalators. I was quite intrigued
Went to the Museum of Natural History and I wish I could've spent more time here because of how absolutely amazing it was. It was HUGE! I fell in love...
Went to Chinatown
Went back to Times Square
Got out stuff
Went to the airport
Got home at like 2 a.m.
So yeah that was pretty much my trip. I was really happy to come home though. I missed Miami, I missed my baby, I missed my friends, and I missed our weather. I cannot live in New York because it is too damn cold. I don't know how I would feel living away from a beach. I don't think I can do it. This trip was a lot better than my previous trips to New York because I got to enjoy it and see pretty much everything that I wanted to see. So trip tp New York=a success. Now I'm in the Christmas Spirit! YAY!
Gaby's birthday was yesterday. We went to the cheesecake factory with his family and had a nice dinner except for the part where they didn't want to sell us a whole cheesecake. Gaby ordered two beers since he is now legal! Anyway, we walked around Dadeland when we were done and went back to Gaby's House. His mom bought him a cheesecake at publix and we sang happy birthday. Then we started opening presents. Gaby had an amazing array of gifts. Among other things he got really nice dress shirts, super mario galaxy and another game. he got my little gifts, action figures, clockwork orange, dude bobblehead, he got a PSP, basketball shorts, I can't remember what he got from his sister, and of course the best present of them all, Stefano and Gaby's brother got him a ticket to a van halen concert!!!
OMG I was as surprised as he was. I was seriously in shock. So yeah, Gaby had an amazing birthday and that gift seriously set the bar high! All in all it was a good birthday. I called Gaby a cradle robber because he is now 2 years older than me... but only for another 6 days.
So I woke up today uber early cuz I was worried that gaby hadn't called me last night. He was fine, he just went home really late because he was at Stefano's. Anyway, he's taking a final today and I hope it goes well. He tried so hard in that class and he doesn't want to settle for anything less than an A.
Speaking of grades, I got my grade this morning. I got a B+ in Midieval English Lit, an A- in American Lit, an A in Anthropology, and an A in my Education Class. I'm happy with my grades : )
Christmas is fast approaching, and after that, my birthday!
