"The sun that is the source of all our power..."

I saw this play today called "The Moon is a balloon" It was a work using the poems of e.e. cummings. It was ok - won't rave about it, some parts were pretty frustrating, and it wasn't a good collaboration. Sometimes it seemed like they didn't understand the rythym of the poems they were performing. However, it was an interesting concept, just pulled off not too poorly, but could have been done better.

Personally, though, I was just enraptured at the words. There were two things those poems made me want to be:

1.) special enough to inspire such work from someone
2.) more talented to be able to peice words togehter so perfectly as to create such vivid images.

I really want to read more e.e. cummings. If I get monies I plan to invest in a collection of his works. If anyoen has any e.e. cummings books I can borrow, lemme know. I wanna read them all.

So, I suggest seeing this show only if you like e.e. cummings works. It's not bad, but it feels longer than 1 hour, because sometimes it's like pulling teeth. But there are moments that are really good. All in all, mixed elings about the show. But the work still remains brilliant. Everyone should go out and read e.e. cummings now. Like NOW.

Also. Shannon came by the apartment yesterday. I'm glad she did, and I'm glad we got to talk - Whatever's going on over at their apartment is none of my business, but I have been getting a biased picture, so I'm glad I got to hear her side of the story.

Rearranged my room today. Looks a lot roomier. Made soup for the first time ever (from scratch) and I'm proud to say that it came out good - not like dad's, which is amazing, but it still tasted good. I know how to make it better next time, so I'm happy! Apartment living has actually made me more domestic. I never knew I knew how to cook. I'm very proud.

I made Sunday dinner last week - a huge dinner, soup, salad, roast beef, mashed potatos, peas and mushrooms in brown sugar and balsamic vinegar, and carrots and brown sugar. It came out really good. And that was the frst tiem I cooked roast beef, and it came ot perfect (except for the blood that went everywhere when we cut it, and it was like killing a square). I took a picture I was so proud.

The apartment ist mein tonight. Mybe tomorrow too. Miranda's sleeping over at her boyfreinds (right acros the way) and Ar and Danica are home for the weekend (nad by home I meanwith their significant others) So... that's pretty sweet (not that I hate them and want them out.. but c'mon, how often does one get and ENTIRE apartment to one's self?)

I was pretty sick this week, but I'm mostly well rested now, and feeling a lot better.

Still stressed, which tears apart my brin and says "hey, immune system, FUCK YOU! AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!" at every turn, so I have to learn to manage that. But overall things are going really well. I get in my moods but I'd say 95% of the time, I'm genuinely happy here.Yay.

However, I think Adj should come up Halloween weekend (or we can meet in the city) because that'd be cool.

Hey hey hey, Adj, wanna try to go to China Town next weekend? Or maybe just wander the city? Or you can cme up? any which one of these would be awesome. Lemme know.
