Spock wasn't the great hero of my childhood, like he was for some slightly older and slightly more testosterone laden than myself.

Like you, like my husband.

BUT, he was certainly a presence of my childhood, and I feel the loss for that so many are feeling so keenly.

And the world is a much poorer place for the loss of both. Spock and Nimoy.

I just wish he could've been around for the 50th anniversary next year.
