well, i didn't get into berkeley (even though i knew i wasn't going to get in. and none of this "you never know" stuff--i knew instictively when i didn't get into ucla that i wasn't getting into berkeley). but seriously, everyone i know has been so sweet to me--it would have been really nice to get in, but not getting in has been nice in showing me how much you guys care :)
my mother has reacted way more strongly than i have--she literally has been crying, slamming doors, and throwing pots around. i love her for that.
