universally speaking
i went to this shitty restaurant last night and they were playing awful music awfully loud and it was awful and then suddenly they started playing led zeppelin's "black dog." i started enthusiastically singing along and there was a guy sitting at a table next to us who was so excited that a chick knew led zeppelin. he kept making the "rock on!" motion with his hands and directing it my way. it was fun. they proceeded to play most of led zeppelin IV which made me profoundly happy.
it was a quasi halloween costume event thing. i'm dressing up as some sort of grecian goddess this year. i haven't decided which one yet... which amuses me... so i think i won't bother picking one. ha. wearing it makes me wanna go home and watch "animal house" for the 1,400th time.
classy, right? haha.
two of my good friends/experienced baristas at work have put in their 2-week notice. this makes me sad. today, i kept fighting the urge to ask one of them, "will you please try to still be my friend even though you don't work with me anymore?" but i held it back. but i wanted to.
anyone wanna do a book swap with me? i have tons of books of my own that i need to read but none of them are screaming at me right now. i haven't started a new one since finishing "lunar park" by bret easton ellis on sunday. that's a long time to go without reading.
