Chapter Ten: Tied-Up Girls and Busted Plans

Pulling on my shirt, I watch wordlessly as Megan not so politely asks Selena to wash up. The second Selena leaves the room; I grip the other brunette by the arm and drag her toward the garage. The door slams behind us and I glare at the group of people sitting around the television. Miley and Taylor are cuddled together, Olivia leaning against the wall, her ankles crossed, while Jared and Dallas are giggling to themselves. I glance over at the tv, doing a double take when I realize that it’s an empty room.

Suddenly it hits me, and I stutter out incredulously. “Is that my living room? Are you guys- are you watching us?”

Megan shakes my grip off her arm, turning towards Jared, “Can you please move the camera into the dining room? Selena will be out soon and I’d rather her not see the camera being moved.”

“No, no, no, no! Megan, they’re not watching the dinner! This isn’t some movie or something that they can enjoy.” I protest, when a rustling sound catches my attention. Turning quickly, I see Miley and Dallas both trying to hide their bowls of popcorn. “Seriously? Popcorn you guys? I didn’t say a single thing when you guys came up with this ridiculous plan but you guys are sitting here eating popcorn while watching- hey, where’d Jared go?”

Olivia jerks her head towards the door, “He left during your little speech and what do you mean you didn’t say a single thing? We had to tie your hands around Megan’s waist and tape your damn mouth so you wouldn’t bolt or say something while she straddled you!”

“Yeah, you could have tied the knots a little more loosely,” I mutter, unconsciously rubbing at my wrists.

Miley barks out a laugh, “Right, loose enough so that you could get out of em, huh?”

“This is your entire fault, you idiot!” I accuse, turning on Megan. “This plan is retarded! How is Selena going to come closer to me when you’re all over me?”

“Fuck you, Demi! The plan is perfect, if you’d just get off your goddamn high horse maybe we’d actually be able to do this right!”

“Do what right? You tied my wrists, taped my mouth shut, and the next part of the plan is to have me kiss your neck! I’m starting to think that this is some fucked up way of asking me to have a threesome with you and your girlfriend!”

“Oh- trust me, I don’t need you and your fumbling fingers in bed. These babies are more than enough to make Olivia scream in-”

“Alright! I think we’ve said enough!” Olivia interjects, grabbing a hold of Megan’s hands.

The brunette smirks, raising an eyebrow in my direction, “See, she still can’t get enough of them! I don’t see Selena in here begging you for anything.”

I take a step forward, shoving my face in the cocky girl’s face, “She doesn’t have to be. You beg enough for the both of you. In fact, you beg enough for everyone in this entire room.”

The garage explodes in a round of ‘Ooooh’s’ and ‘Burn’s’ as I give Megan a victorious smirk and turn to stride out of the door.

“Demi, wait!” Olivia calls out, handing me a different shirt. “Put this one on instead.”

I grab the button down shirt, and look at the girl skeptically. “No. That’s not gonna happen.”

“Please, Demi. Just trust us.”

Letting out a frustrated sigh, I pull off my shirt and quickly slip into the other one. Suddenly Dallas is standing in front of me unbuttoning the top button, when Miley shoves her aside and pulls open the three more.

“You guys!” Taylor exclaims, buttoning up two of the buttons and leaving the top two open. “Now get out of here and into the dining room already!”

Megan’s right behind me as we hurry into the dining room. We walk in just as Jared’s finishes hooking up the camera.

“Okay, stand right here.” Megan instructs, angling my back towards the door.

“Why?”

I hear Selena call out from outside the door and suddenly my face is pressed against Megan’s neck and she’s moaning loudly. Trying to pull my face away, Megan’s grip tightens on my head and she lets out a guttural groan.

A throat clearing sound stops my movements immediately, my body stiffening, but Megan is much better at acting, and looks up lazily. “Oops. Sorry about that.”

I turn to see Selena open her mouth, no doubt to verbally shove Megan into her place, but is stopped by Jared who comes in to seat us.

I find myself sitting at the head of the table with Selena to my right and Megan to my left. I have a feeling that this seating arrangement was prepared prior and for a reason which was confirmed when Megan dramatically dropped a fork on to the floor.

Selena glares at the girl sitting across from her when she proclaims that she’ll pick it up and ducks under the table. Megan then promptly disappears and a hand grips my upper thigh, eliciting a loud gasp from me. Selena narrows her eyes at the biker’s empty seat when a converse swiftly connects with my shin.

“Oww!” I yelp, turning towards Selena in confusion. The brunette ducks her head and mutters out an apology just as Megan reappears, fork in hand and a smirk plastered on her face.

Frightened of what may be in store for me, I slowly inch out of Megan’s reach, letting my hand slip under the table and grip Selena’s. Squeezing reassuringly, I grin when I see a small smile tugging the corners of Selena’s lips upward.

Megan glowers in Selena’s direction, before recomposing herself and reaching over to play with the first closed button, “I love the way this shirt looks on you, Demi but…” The brunette looked at Selena, quirking an eyebrow in the air before popping the button open with her finger. “…it looks much better like this.”

She pulls her hand away letting her fingers graze over the fresh expanse of skin. I immediately go to readjust my shirt when I notice how Selena’s gaze is fixated on my chest and her tightened grip on my hand. My free hand faltered in the air for a moment before falling back down to my side, leaving the button unopened.

Jared walks in looking at the awkwardness exuding from the situation, and turns toward me. “Miss Lovato, could I please borrow you for a moment outside?”

I nod, thinking it must be important for Jared to interrupt me during the entire plan. I walk behind him only to be pulled outside the door. “Keep quiet. Miss Fox has asked me to give her some alone time with Miss Gomez.”

My eyes grow wide, and I whisper-scream at the grinning man, “Jared! Megan is going to rip her apart!”

“Shhh, Miss Lovato, we don’t want to caught out here. Please, just watch what Miss Fox has in store.”

I sigh softly but turn towards the door nonetheless.

Megan grins evilly, “I hope you understand, Sabrina that this is definitely war and I fully intend on winning.”

“It’s Selena.”

“I could care less.”

“I’m sure that’s true. Now about that war, Megan. Demi has yet to accept any of your advances, so I think that I’m winning.”

Letting out a gruff laugh, Megan stretches her arms over her head, revealing a thin strip of tanned skin. “That’s where you’re wrong. Did you forget shirtless Demi when you walked in?”

“Hey, shirtless Demi had duct tape over her mouth and her wrists tied.” I whisper accusatorily, watching Selena’s features change as anger flashes in her eyes.

“Demi didn’t seem so happy about you being on top of her, remember?” Selena states matter-of-factly.

“Damn straight!” I agree.

“Miss Lovato. I would really suggest you keep your voice down.” Jared reminds me.

Megan smirks at Selena, “Well, it won’t stay that way much longer.” With that Megan tugs on the hem of her shirt, pulling the collar down further to reveal her bursting cleavage.

Whoa. That is not something I remember.

Selena quirks up an eyebrow and readjusts her shirt so that the soft curve of her breasts is visible, before throwing a challenging smile in Megan’s direction.

I whimper as I catch sight of Selena’s plunging neckline. “Oh god, she’s going to kill me.”

Suddenly, Selena’s standing up and walking towards Jared and I. Turning the corner, I press myself up against the wall, hoping it will conceal me from Selena’s line of vision.

The brunette fishes for something and I hear several buttons being pushed. Pushing the urge to peek around the corner, I wait until I hear Selena start speaking.

“Lauren, I’m dying here.”

Blondie? Why is she calling Blondie for?

“That stupid bitch is all over Demi. No, I’m not going to stoop down to her level. But I- but- yes, I’m listening.”

I lean forward, getting frustrated with the one-sided conversation that wasn’t making any sense to me.

“Outside the dining room. She’s still inside there. No, I don’t think she can hear me.” Selena pauses, “Yeah, I’ll move just in case.”

Selena’s footsteps fade as she moves into another room and I hurry into the dining room where Megan is planning something else and take a seat next to her

“Alright, we have her right where we want her, Dem. Shit! She’s coming back!” Megan panics, grabbing a hold of my hand and palming her breast with it.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Selena mutters, walking inside and taking her seat.

I wrench my hand away from Megan, letting my head drop and bounce against the table, “Oh for god’s sake!”

Megan stands up, “Alright, gorgeous. I’m going to excuse myself and check on the food.” Walking behind me she leans in and places a lingering kiss on my cheek, making sure to stealthily give me a message. “Make your move, Lovato. Don’t screw it up.”

Selena watches in disdain as Megan walks away, before turning towards me, her nose wrinkled in disgust. “Do you have any ice?”

I wrinkle my eyebrows in confusion but nod nonetheless, “Yeah- yeah I think we do. Why?”

“Because I’m seriously about to punch in that pretty little nose of hers.”

I let out a soft chuckle. “You and me both, babe.”

Selena looks at me in surprise before leaning in and whispering conspiratorially, “Wait, you- uh- you want me to get rid of her?”

“God, yes!” I breathe out, letting my head fall into my hands.

The brunette stands up wordlessly and exits the room only to rush back in, all the color drained from her face.

I stand up immediately at her return, concern flooding into my voice, “What happened, Sel? Are you okay?”

Selena looks at me wide-eyed, “Megan is in the kitchen making out with some really hot girl!”

Just as Selena finishes her hurried explanation, Olivia rushes inside, “Demi, Selena caught Megan and I kissing in the kitch- oh shit.”

“Seriously, Dem. You couldn’t have given me even five minutes?” Megan complains as she saunters in behind her girlfriend, not even the least phased by Selena’s presence.

“Demi!! Megan got caught kissing- h-hi-ii Selena. Didn’t know you were here.” Taylor stutters out as she catches sight of the confused brunette standing next to me.

I palm my face as Jared walks in with a tray of food, “Dinner is ser- uh-oh.”

“Great, now all we need is Dallas and we could be the damn Brady Bunch!” I groan out loud.

“What’s everyone doing in here? I thought Selena wasn’t supposed to know we were all here.” Dallas says as she walks into the room.

Selena turns toward me, raising her eyebrows in confusion. “What’s going on here, Demi?”

I lift my head up and point a finger in Megan and Olivia’s direction. “Ask Megan and her evil genius of a girlfriend over there.”

“Girlfriend? But I thought…” Selena asks, scrunching up her face in confusion and looking utterly adorable.

Megan lets out a sigh and gestures toward the table, “Sit down, Selena. Everyone else sit down too. Let’s get this over with.”

In a few moments, everyone is settled in their seats, Selena sitting by my side looking confused and out of place.

“Alright,” Megan begins, gaining the attention of everyone in the room. “Long story short, we were trying to help Demi make you her girlfriend.”

“By trying to ravage her on the dining table?” Selena questions skeptically.

“Did it get you jealous?”

Selena ducks her head down, a red tint coloring her cheeks and she mutters aloud. “Maybe.”

“Then it worked.”

“But-”

“Listen Selena,” Olivia intervenes, “When we saw you and Demi the other night at the race, I pushed Megan to flirt with Demi so that she’d take you out on an actual date and from what I heard, the plan worked just fine.”

Megan picks up where Olivia stops, “Tonight when we came to visit and explain what had actually happened at the race to Demi, you happened to text her. So we took over and sent you all those messages to get you to come over.”

At Megan’s pause, Taylor continues on. “Demi called us in to help her out and we came up with the plan to make you unbelievably jealous.”

Miley interrupts her girlfriend, “Of course, Demi wasn’t all too happy about the plan. We had to tie her wrists around Megan’s waist and tape her mouth shut so she wouldn’t blow the cover in front of you.”

Selena looks at me in surprise, “Really, Demi? Is that true?”

“Hey, in my defense, the plan was a really stupid plan.” I explain, holding my hands up in surrender.

The brunette lets out a soft giggle, “Anyway go on.”

Shrugging, Megan leans back and stretches her arms out. “That’s pretty much it. You busted the plan. Demi was supposed to make her move on you while I was gone and we were gonna push you to kick me out of here so you could have some alone time while feeling all confident about yourself.”

There is an awkward silence that settles in the room until Selena bursts into giggles. Leaning over, she pecks me on my cheek. “Well so long as the competition is out of the way.”

The awkwardness shatters as everyone starts laughing. Jared pushes himself off the wall her was leaning against, “Alright, so who’s hungry?”

At the resounding sound, he left with Dallas to bring in the food, quickly setting the table expertly and taking a seat next to my sister.

The food is passed around, loud rambunctious conversations taking place, although I could care less about that at the moment. Selena’s left hand was a fixed object on my thigh and the warmth emanating from that area was spreading through my body like a warm fire. Half way through the dinner, I let my own free hand snake its way down and cover Selena’s hand.

The brunette immediately turns towards me, her gaze gentle and warm and a bright smile gleaming in my direction. Her hand turns upward, her fingers entwining with my own, a perfect fit.

“Do you mind if I steal you away once you’re finished eating?”

Glancing down at the half eaten plate sitting in front of me, I drop my fork and toss my napkin on the table, “All done. Let’s go.”

I stand up, tugging Selena along and making my way up the stairs to my room.

“Slow down, Speedy Gonzales! I’m right behind you!”

Turning around, I grin at the brunette. “It’s not my fault you’re such a slowpoke.”

I open the door to my room, gesturing for Selena to go ahead and go in. We take a seat on the bed, reveling in the quiet. I lay down on my back, my eyes fluttering closed, when soft fingers begin tracing the contours of my face.

“What are you doing?” I whisper, careful not to move my face too much so as not to interfere with the path of Selena’s fingers.

“You’re so beautiful.”

My eyes shoot open and I push myself up on to my elbows. The sincerity behind the words made them seem almost reverent. “Are you serious?”

“Absolutely.”

“I’ve never had someone tell me I’m beautiful like that before.”

Selena lets out a tinkling laugh, “Like what?”

I gaze into the warm chocolate colored eyes, “Like they meant it.”

“I do mean it.”

Sitting up, I cup Selena’s cheek in my hand. “I know, Sel. That’s what makes it mean a lot.”

“Demi?”

My name flows over my lips and I lean closer unconsciously. “Yeah?”

“I really want to kiss you right now.”

My heart swells at the words but I have to will my voice to remain steady. “I don’t plan on stopping you.”

Selena rolls her eyes at me, but moves closer nonetheless.

I wait a beat for the other girl to close the distance but when I see no chance of that happening, I cup Selena’s face in my hands and push my lips against hers. Reveling in the feel of her soft lips, I smile into the kiss, only to feel the brunette smile in return.

“We should go back downstairs now, Demi.”

I press another chaste kiss on Selena’s lips, ignoring her statement initially.

Pulling away, I give her the trademark Lovato smirk and wink in her direction. “But don’t you want to put this old bed to good use now?”

Selena chuckles, before standing up and pulling me up with her. “God, you couldn’t just let me have this moment, could you?”

Grinning as I watch the brunette walk out the door, I stroll behind her, drinking in the spectacular view that Selena’s tight jeans were offering.

“Think about it Sel, You come back in here and I could give you moments that would make you feel a hell of a lot better all night loooong.”

I hear a snort in reply to my offer and shake my head before running up behind the girl and kissing her softly once more.

“Don’t worry, Princess. I remember the wooing I promised you.”

Selena gives me a small smile and makes her way down the stairs.

Letting out a low whistle, I amble down the stairs contentedly.

“Won’t be long til I win you over, Princess, not long at all.”
