I would like to know what it is with this house and birds. Since we've moved in here we've now had three birds attacked by animals. The first one was a mocking bird that Spooky attacked, it died. The second one was a sparrow that Zero draged in unharmed and we let it go. But now I have a baby blue jay..

The guy that lives behind me has a puppy beagel that doesnt get a whole lot of attention, and a nest of blue jays in his tree. Some how one of the babies fell out of the nest and the puppy got at it. The rest of the blue jays in the backyard were making all sorts of noise so I went out to pop them a good one with the air soft gun when I saw the blue jay being attacked by the dog. I shot the dog a few times to get it away from the bird and walked around the block into the house's backyard (the people are never home) and got the bird..

So I now have a young blue jay in a small cage in my kitchen.. I've been feeding it mashed up cat food and it seems rather unharmed other than some blood coming from it's chin. It looks old enough to fly almost but it's tail feathers havent come in yet. I'm going to call around and see if I can find a place that will take care of it.
