Name: Gol Monkey Portgas D. Ace
Nickname: "Fire-Fist" Ace. A wide variety of things related to "Idiot" or Moron" from Yukimi.
Sexuality: Ace is the physical embodiment of the element of fire, bringing all the elemental traits along with him. He is very passionate and more concerned with the people than the gender class they may fall into.
Gender: Male.
Age: 20
Looks: Due to recent events looks like a Hobo. Or a day-walking monster. Is dressed in an many layers as he can stand without decreasing his range of motion. Ace had dark hair and a smattering of rather boyish freckles on his face and shoulders. Normally grinning, with a face better suited for smiling than frowning, though he can get serious and fast.
Education: What's been pounded into his head, either by his guardians or by life. He's got a degree in bullshit and is a graduate of the school of hard-knocks...recently he's gotten into a degree program for "Learning how to lose" and "Getting those around you hurt".
Occupation: Currently unemployed. His only real employment at the moment is looking for a little girl, a little boy, and a woman, and trying not to die(Yukimi would probably say he's doing the opposite.) If he ever gets out of here, He will likely be a pirate again, if he's not transported back to the moment he left and executed.
Status/money: He is...was...Whitebeard's second division commander.
Family/ethnicity: Mother is Portgas D. Rouge and Father is Gol. D Roger. Has never met either of them. Father died before he was born and mother died giving birth to him, shortly after he was named. Garp took him in as an infant and saved him from those walking around drowning any baby who might be tied to Gol D. Roger. He was raised with Luffy and held under the tutelage of something named Dagon, though it's apparent that Makino saw to much of their day to day care. He considers Luffy his brother and Garp his grandfather, and if pressed will define Makino as his foster mother. He does not consider Roger his father, and instead transfers that completely to Whitebeard.
Marital status: Unmarried, likely to stay that way. No sense perpetuating the bloodline.
Dialect: Faint accent, nothing very noticeable but is obviously from the Blues.
Languages: Standard.
Relationships: Varied.
Luffy: While Luffy is not in the House, he deserves a mention if only because he is the driving force behind much of what Ace does, from the protective connections he formed with Luffy's crew mates to the relationship with Fletcher. Ace loves his brother very much and at the moment thinks he's either manged to get the kid killed or hurt or worse, captured in Impel Down. He's trying very hard not to think about it though.
Sanji & Usopp: more Sanji than Usopp. While both are members of his brother's crew, he automatically tried to protect Sanji right off the bat in lieu of having Luffy there to look after them, as Sanji was hurt and not in a good Headspace when they met. Usopp on the other hand was taking care of himself and Ace felt no need to interfere in it. Sanji on the other hand is now a mass of guilt and hesitation in Ace's mind. It's a tangled mass
Fletcher: Fletcher....Fletcher walked into Ace's life for only a few hours, but in many ways he became irrecoverably tangled in Ace's impression of Luffy. Fletcher needed someone to protect him, and Ace promised that he would, tying himself to Fletcher in the strongest way he had available. The fact that he watched Fletcher die and then was unable to prevent him from killing himself permanently only drives home the point of Ace's helplessness. None of thing blame for this settles on Fletcher though, and after a brief, focused stint of zombie killing, most of it was removed from the zombies as well. Instead Ace focused on the people responsible for this Hellhouse, and understanding that Fletcher was perma gone or not, Ace was going to do something to keep his promise.
Yukimi: Ace considers Yukimi a friend, and is the first person in the House he didn't regard as someone he needed to protect, instead accepting his as a fighter in his own right. He respects Yukimi and enjoys hanging out with him and just talking. Yukimi is also one of the few people he will let go with enough to bicker, entirely playfully for the most part, though if it results in blows...well, that's alright too.
March: Ace is actually pretty sure on his end that March is his friend, though he understands the limitations in March's speech. March was the first monster he looked at and saw 'Human', and he feels a little attached to him because of the shared flame. He's decided that he owes March, and will therefore do whatever he can to help March. This will probably be further expanded once he learns March's punishment for helping them.
Machi: Machi is another one of Ace's complicated relationships. Though at the moment he feels responsible for hte fact that Machi is hurt. But at the same time he feels a bond as a result of the fact that Machi did follow him down into the basement. But Ace doesn't know him that well, so he ends up slotting him with Yukimi as a default until he manages to get more out of the kid. He deeply respects Machi for going down stairs, knowing what he was going to be facing. He thinks that takes more courage than rushing in when you don't know what mighht be waiting around the corner.
Rose: Rose almost counts as an obsession in her own right, since Ace doesn't even know who or what she is, just that she is important to March. He's somehow managed to get on a bread crumb trail that is leading either around Rose, or to Rose. Once he finds out who and what she is, he is likely to seek her out purely on her own merit.
Ms. Frost: Ace would really like to meet her again, if only to absolve her from blame. He feels guilty for inadvertently getting her involved.
Places: In the House Ace doesn't really feel that he has any place that belongs just to him. He hung on the hospitality of Luffy's crew for his first Mark of time, and wasn't bothered by mooching, but he failed to establish that as 'his' space. If anything he feels a connection to the attic stairs, and probably to the observatory, though it is no longer on fire
Possessions: He's holding Fletcher's hat for him. A copy of Luffy's wanted poster they didn't take. A picture of his mother, Dosen't have anything for Garp or Makino, as he's aware that being captured and reveling his relationship to them is dangrous. A knife. Had the blue envelopes but gave it to Machi. Clothes, lots of clothes, a couple blankets. A wallet. A mostly empty bag, a backpack.
Hobbies: Irritating Yukimi. Trying to get himself killed or mutilated. Attempting to save people. Following Bread Crumb trails.
Obsessions: Rose counts as an obsession, as he has become utterly determined to find her though he has no idea who or what she is. He's just going to do it, if he has to ask every ghost, monster and Higher Being in the House where she is. He's also become a little connected to the Answer, though, as far as Ace is concerned he's doing this for a small handful of people, it ends up digging up the corners of other things. Saving Fletcher and helping March have also become his recent obsessions.
Beliefs: People, no matter how they're born, or where they come from, Matter. Though this usually becomes "My people matter". Honor, strangely enough, considering he's a pirate. He doesn't abide by backstabbers. His people can back stab other people, but there is a certain bond that he will not tolerate being trampled. If Ace was given a choice of "One Person or a Million.' Ace would choose the one person, every time.
Politics: Doesn't really care. So long as he has the freedom to do as he wish.
Ambitions: See "Obsessions"
Romantic history: Does cuddling with a girl who's turning you into an ice sculpture count as romantic history? No? He's working on, but he's rather limited on options at the moment.
Religion: Ace is the type that believes in forcing change by his own hands, not waiting for something more powerful to do it. If he believes in god is unknown, but he doesn't seem like the praying type unless it's for other people
Superstitions: None, really.
Fears: Failing the people he has promised to protect.
Attitudes: If there's a wall between him and his goal, Ace will go through it. Protective and loyal to his people
Flaws: Stubborn, thick headed, and far too willing to risk personal harm to find the answers to what he needs.
Strengths: He's smart and fairly hard to kill. Loyal to a fault, which can be turned against him.
Pets: ....Does Luffy count?
Taste in books, music, etc.: He has a decent relationship with all of the above, likes music.
Journal: Possibly, but unlikely, putting things down on paper could incriminate other people.
Food preferences: Yes. Lots. Anything that's hot.
Handwriting: Ace has fairly nice hand writing.
Theme Song:
Astrological sign: Capricorn, which upon review says so much about him.
Talents: Unless sheer stubborn in finding his answers (Which occasionally works, and occasionally just manages to get him curb stomped) counts, he's fairly good at convincing people to do what he needs them to and is fairly charismatic. He's also good at reading people and judging what they need.
