Ouch!!

Let this be a lesson to all my fellow over-weight people out there: if your foot goes numb.... don't keep walking. It's not worth the pain when the feeling comes back. Trust me.

Well, the new walking machine is going, thanks to the fix up job that my mum and I did on it, involving the plugs and tiny screw driver. Mum almost fell of the back of it the other night (tredmills are dangerous, people! LOL.)

Good news if it's true: My brother tells me that a movie of J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Hobbit' is being made with the same cast (Ian Holms as Bilbo and Ian McKellan as Gandalf.) which is very exciting because, while it was fantastic to see Return of the King, I was sad that it was all over. I think if they had made 'The Hobbit' first, I would have been a bit sceptical about the special effects, but now, I can't wait to see how the do the dragon.....

POETRY ALERT!!!!
if you don't like it, bugger off! LMAO! sorry, couldn't help myself.... din't mean it, really!

Of Old Sat Freedom

Of old sat Freedom on the heights,
The thunders breaking at her feet:
Above her shook the starry lights:
She heard the torrents meet.

There in her place she did rejoice,
Self-gather'd in her prophet-mind,
But fragments of her mighty voice
Came rolling on the wind.

Then stept she down thro' town and field
To mingle with the human race,
And part by part to men reveal'd
The fullness of her face-

Grave mother of majestic works,
From her isle-alter gazing down
Who, God-like, grasps the triple forks,
And King-like, wears the crown:

Her Open eyes desire truth.
The wisdom of a thousand years
Is in them. May perpetual youth
Keep dry their light from tears;

That her fair form may stand and shine,
Make bright our days and light our dreams,
Turning to scorn with lips divine
The falsehood of extremes!
