so..
im avoiding my econ problem set. and the bookS (yes, that was plural) that i have to read by tuesday for my asian humanities class. i figured, hey if im bored, and everyone else is updating their ljs, i should use my boredom to be productive. update lj. ha - very productive.
so lets see. i had a pretty great weekend. im dead tired now and probably am forcing my body into sickness, but its all in the spirit of a good time.
wed: ok, normally not the weekend, but deepa was in town and wanted to chill. dragged my friends alecia and sean down to this irish pub where deepa, donna, and deepas friends met up with us. then us three went to the abbey to drink more. then sean came back to chill here which was fun ... although i felt a little awkward because he hooked up with a friend a few doors down and that could have been bad....but hes fun and a lot bigger than me so i couldnt say GO HOME FUCKER (lol that would have been mad funy though ::chuckles to herself::)
thurs: wine in the dorm. late dinner at nachos, with more wine courtesy of victor my lovely bartender. then sangria....the winewhore in me was at work :-p then a lovely and very fun visit to mr dan koz himself downtown. after a long subway ride, a scary encounter in times square, an annoying taxi ride, i was back uptown and pimpin' the west end.
friday: winter wonderland dance. wasnt gunna go, but sitting in the dorm feeling super down and unhappy was much less appealing. got dressed up, attended alex's pre-party (more wine). went to the dance, wasnt feeling it, left with alecia. we came back so she could change, neel txts me: come to p.m. with me and my friends. so after a trip to the heights for me and alecia (or rather, for whiskey and vodka, respectively) we met up with steve, neel, and their other upperclassmen friends to go downtown. cab to the meatpacking district to find P.M. we're on a list or something so we get to pass the huge line and go inside. OMG IT WAS OFF THE HOOK! (did i just type that? laura you a ghetto-ifying me! but seriously, i looked the club up later and its listed as one of NYC's finest!!! hellz yea for pimpin' up the posh clubs of NYC - me and alecia rock!) we had a couple of tables and there was lots of dancing. alecia and i danced for hours and hours. we drank a little, since they bought so many bottles of grey goose and stuff. but i avoided too much of it because vodka is not really my thing and i totally didnt need it to have fun there. aneel, steve, and aaron are super awesome and i owe them because they took me and my friend out. hardcore out. apparantly all the other ppl we were with got sick or something but i dont know. i ignored them because they were ignoring us...i dont think they liked freshmen taking their 'men' or something. ha. we lost aneel when we got back, but steve and aaron walked us all the way to our doors. good kids.
sat: thought i was going to die after only 3 hours of sleep, but was pleasantly surprised to find out that leadership training was canceled. basically did homework all day, although i accompanied laura to MaxWax (dont tell me you dont like the name). ended up going out at night, because, well, it was saturday night. hit up nachos for (surprise) nachos and margaritas. then 1020, mona, and AmCaf where chris and i totally pimped up the sweet lounge and mixed drinks. a quick stop and west end and i was in bed.
sun: homework ALL DAY. kinda sucked. but had dinner at tomo with mom, phil, and kev which made my night. that and the sweet food filled study break my r.a. threw for us.
good weekend. and with that, im back to either homework, tv, or ... bed. i love you all, whoever you are who reads this.
