Fandom Charity Auctions
I was going to include this in a longer, better post, but I wanted to get this out as soon as possible, and didn't want it to be f-locked.
I'm currently selling (well, auctioning) my services as a fic writer to help disaster relief in Queensland, Australia and Brazil. I've even gotten bids! I'm also offering a fanmix at the Queensland auction ( here), because breaking out of one's bubble is a good thing, and I've always kind of wanted to try fanmixes, so this should give me an incentive. I've made three mixes prior, for my lovely girlfriend and my ex-boyfriend, and I figure if I can risk putting together a collection of songs for people I'm really fond of - and the one for S was kinda bad, not gonna lie - then I can definitely put together a collection of songs for a stranger, to raise money to help other strangers.

I should note that the Queensland auctions close Wednesday the 26th, and the Brazil auctions close Monday the 31st. Also, the Queensland auctions have gotten much more attention, with roughly double the number of offers and bids, but over 500 people have died in Brazil, and many more have lost their houses, so both are worthy causes. And I want to promote them equally.
