shimmy. Friends and acquaintances, essentially. These are people Nava can call for a good time or a kind word - no judgments, just worry-free company. They're nice to have and fun to poke at, but Nava's still a little standoffish in terms of the gritty details of their friendships.

second hand. What started out as an awkward acquaintance with the Atheneum's nightclub conglomerate has turned into Nava taking up residence with Napoleon. He's sort of an older-brother figure, sort of a partner in crime, and although Nava appreciates him taking her in, she feels as though she's a perpetual burden.

slogan. Wonderland. It's home. You may not like it all of the time or agree with what it does to you (and the dreadful things they do to your poor watch!) but it's where you below. Just like the Rabbit left Wonderland at times, Nava gets fed up with their nonsense, but the Rabbit also always came back, and so does she.

No one can really figure out how this little group of Judaism was formed, since even amidst Taledom, etc, none of them have all that much in common ... but never the less, the Atheneum's Jews have found each other. Nava's position in all of it is to inflict a mixture of common sense and, well, body ink, to be perfectly honest. Despite the obvious gaps in relationship, they all have a "stick together" thing going for them.
