The weekend was fun. It was good to hang out with everyone. Jenn, wish I could have spent more time hanging out, maybe next time. Laura, nice meeting you, hope to hang out with you more. Grant, you stole my damn Jack and did not even drink it, its hopefully finished by now. Cecilia, always the best.
Going back to work on Monday really sux and especially after a much needed three day weekend. Had a meeting with the Director of the place and my Manager yesterday concerning a project we are working on. She was asking me a bunch of questions and how did I like it. I told that I had a lot of work to do and was lucky if I get what needs to be done by the end of the day. She goes well then I guess we need to hire someone new to assist you. I was like that would be great so I get to interview people for the position. It will be so much fun to be on the other side of an interview and not have the nervousness. The final decision will of course be my manager but apparently I am the shining star of her group according to everyone.
I began working out again this week. I am so sore but it feels great and now I am actually running so no more belly in a couple of months. That is if I stay away from alcohol, ha ha, yeah right!!!
We get this e-mail today at work from the HR manager concerning the dress code at my job. It appears that some people do not know what is appropriate attire and such. I do not really care one way or the other. The funny thing she attached examples and a line went sort of like this (paraphrased), "please look at the manikens in the attached file and see that this clothing is inappropriate." At first I thought she meant munchkins but she was trying to spell mannequins. I mean come one, rule of thumb, if you are going to send out any e-mail at work than please use the spelling check so that you do not make yourself look like a dumb ass. I am going to use the spelling check for this entry because I know I did not spell mannequins correctly the first time.
Random thought: I just got done paying some bills by check and had to lick the envelopes. The taste left over in your mouth after that is nasty. Why would they make licking an envelope so bad? Why not make flavored envelopes such as strawberry or watermelon?
Grant and me were talking about how we should write down some of our college stories so that we can remember them when we get older. Thats what a journal is for by the way so when I have time I am going to try to post some of the stories I remember as memories for future reference.
Anyway, that is enough crap for today, spell check time.
