Great interview with Steven Soderbergh up at the AV Club. Consider me on board for the 3D Cleopatra musical starring Catherine Zeta-Jones with music by Guided By Voices's Robert Pollard. Not that I was off board to begin with, but now I'm actually excited for it. And his description of the roadshow version of Che makes me envious. I wish they'd show it here like that, but just it showing here at all is still in doubt: not a blockbuster, in Spanish, two parts, not exactly a happy film, etc. But man, that roadshow reminded me of the descriptions of Apocalypse Now screenings: no trailers, no ads, not even any credits, just a program and 4 and a half hours.

Oh, and a new blog: These Curious Days. Check it.
