Roads unravel a nearby mountain
We search for the gravel’s smooth end,
As pennies dissolve into a fountain.
While they sell the ground by tons and by pounds and
We text when our emails don’t send,
Roads unravel a nearby mountain.
We’ll shatter our eyes in rough digital terrain
For fear that our lives are pretend,
As pennies dissolve into a fountain.
Your body is forward, your thoughts turned around and
Though space is my love, time’s my friend.
Roads unravel a nearby mountain.
Our minds are unsettled our world is a dreamland
The gardens that grow we won’t tend,
As pennies dissolve into a fountain.
Of hope you find nothing and then you find thousands
Of moments that time’s come to lend,
Roads unravel a nearby mountain
As pennies dissolve into a fountain.
