I've gone on a soundtrack spree and downloaded a bunch of movie soundtracks for my music-hungry-times :) I have new musical territory to explore while searching for inspiration for fanfic/original fic ^^
Anyway. Today I read half of Wide Sargasso Sea, the book I should have read months ago am going to use for examples in literary criticism in my Tuesday exam. Surprisingly, I like it very much. It's supposed to be a prequel to Jane Eyre. If you've read Jane Eyre, you might remember the mad woman in the attic, Rochester's mad wife, who is supposed to be a Creole (white but brought up in the Carribean culture). This book is her story. I find it very enigmatic at moments, the writer doesn't really tell us much most of the time, and I've gotten images off the book that aren't really in it, I don't know how to explain it. Still, it's an interesting read.
Other than that, not much went on today. I'm meeting Emily and her boyfriend Robert for studying at the library tomorrow. We'll tackle the different literary criticism theories, hopefully that will help me in my notemaking on Monday. I'll also finish the book tomorrow so it will be over and done with, and then on Monday I'll prepare my notes for the exam. We're allowed one A4 piece of paper with notes on both sides, because the exam itself is 5 short essays in one and a half hour. @_@ I don't want to think about it. I'll do fine, but the thought of it is so daunting that I don't want to bother.
I found Green Day's latest album, it sounds like a natural progression from American Idiot, so I quite like it. :)
