I love seeing the water, but...

I just realized today that the hurricane season has started. That leaves so much stuff to do. Bleh.

I absolutely love that I can walk out of my front door and see water, despite a few houses being in the way. Even though no water got in the house during Katrina, that scene is a mixed blessing, for sure. I was super suprised that the insurance will only run about $2000 a year.

I've decided that it is financially possible to keep this place, so long as a budget is folowed. With the radiator blowing our budget for the trip to north MS and still being okay for the week, I'm pretty sure we can do this.  Yes, it's going to be tight, and hopefully a good room mate can be found to help lower the costs a bit.

I know there's a lot of work to be done on the house--a LOT. So between the major financial obligation of fixing the house and the risk of living here, I'm not sure if I should try to stay here or build a slightly smaller, more efficient house out in the sticks.

Decisions, decisions, and work, work, work. Gotta love it.
