so much for the drought
Okay, so after being mindlessly bored at work, I've stumbled across a couple of blogs that have inspired me to get of my arse and start a blog of my own. I have tried once before, to much dismay, but I don't think I really understood the hype of it all back then.
Also, it has been raining non-stop for the past three days, and I've been listening to The Shins all day, so I'm in a really relaxed mood and am ready to express myself all over the world wide web. But I have read some amazing things about these wonderful, unique people all over the world, and I'd like to be a part of that, even if mine is hardly ever read.
The main reason for starting this blog though, is that in 3 weeks and 6 days I will be packing up everything I've ever owned and moving to Sydney. I've always had big dreams, and as I want a career in the music industry, I've decided that I'm going to have to move to where all the action is. So my livejournal will be a way for me to look back and remember what it was like to leave my home town and move somewhere much bigger and much more hectic.
Expect to see a lot more entries once I'm down there and am living in a shoebox apartment with a mattress and a fridge as my only pieces of furniture. I don't know anyone down there, and the last time I was there for more than two, I was about 7 years old and can't remember it. So I see many lonely nights ahead, with me sitting in an empty room and my new laptop (yet to be purchased), splattering my loneliness all over this page.
But contrary to all of the above, I am so excited about finally going =o)
