I think that, if they were cut up and separated, no one would get the idea. You have to have the top right one for it to make sense. Also, 'Wednesday's' doesn't need the apostrophe, and i think 'recipe' should be somehow distinguished from the title of the recipe, maybe with a colon or underline or something. Otherwise, I like the idea.

Yeah... agree... I read the first quadrant and thought, "the glbt organization of michigan tech is a turkey sandwich??"...

Like the design and stuff though...

Well, also the hope is for me to be able to make a better sandwich then that (its a stock photo so I can't use it anyways, I didn't pay for it). But one that is more obviously, BACON! LETTUCE! TOMATO!

I agree with Andrew that you kinda need both the sandwich pic and the recipe for it to make sense for a good portion of people. I got it, personally, though. I really think they're a neat idea. Ditto to making "Recipe" stand out for the title. Also, there should be a space between "Michigan" and "Tech." As of right now, it's all one long word.
