Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!
Or should I say good night?
Better yet: Good morning all ye fine fellows!'
I am in the midst of what seems to have become my annual summer all-night nocturne recording extravaganza. Last year I stayed up all night one night with just a mic and acoustic guitar and produced some of my favorite material. This year (2006), however, has a slightly different fuel. I agreed to score my little brother's film group's film. Since they have a week to cast, prepare, shoot, and edit the 10 minute script they are given, they're tight schedule is my tight schedule. In less than 24 hours have written and recorded 5 brand fuckin' new songs for the "Fresh Films" crew. It feels good, but I can't recall what I was working on hours before. Only the latest songs stick in my head. The Atlanta film crew will be competing against Denver in early July, so I will need all of you to vote for the dirty dirty ATL, but there will be more info when that info is ready.
I just realized I have work tomorrow at 9 AM. I'm not sure if I should try to get a 2 hour nap or not. On one hand, it would technically be sleep, but on the other, I always feel shitty after a short nap that follows late night episodes.
Enjoy yourselves. Seriously.
Good day, sir.
P.S. The sky is now a lighter blue. Here comes the sun indeed, George.
