It lives!

So it's been at least the whole summer since I posted to (or read) LJ last.  The update is this:  apparently there is a surfeit of history teachers in MA, so despite the MPhil from GW (may they rot eternally in the third tier of university rankings), I was not exactly the most sought-after prospect on the job market.  So, I now have my first-ever student loan and five education courses (mostly not-so-useful, but some worthwhile) under my belt.  I start an internship (read: full-year of student teaching) at good ol' WHS in Sept.  I'll be teaching World History I 500-1800 (read: history 39: revenge of the foam pipe insulation swords, woo hoo!!) to start.  Hopefully, by May, I'll be far more marketable with the MPhil and an MAT (masters in teaching) from Simmons.

It would take too long to review all the nuttiness that has been this summer, so let's just go with it's nearly over, and I'm still crazy busy and crazy stressed (though not for the same reasons).  Stephen Jones proved that he is a rugby god down with the Lions (and Ronan O Gara proved that he should be playing the NFL, where no expects the kicker to make a tackle).  Unfortunately, the Lions lost the series 2-1 (see previous parenthetical comment).

I hope everyone is well.  I can be reached on my cell or at sleeping_dragon_6@hotmail.com (although I don't check it daily) or at home at 781 729 2387.  Don't know if I posted the address before, so in case I didn't, it's: 34 Everett Ave, Winchester, MA 01890.

AJT-C:  Bday present is being assembled.  Will send soonest.

MJH:  Have gone thru giant box o' books.  Will pack and ship presently.
