I went to the Fall Out Boy/All-American Rejects/Hawthorne Heights/From First to Last/Hush Sound concert last night.  Not gonna lie, if the seats weren't free and in a nice suite, then I would never have gone. I remember Fall Out Boy when they were just another random band that came to the Quest.  I've never been a huge fan of them but I think that they are pretty good.  I kinda wrote off the pete guy too cause I heard he could be pretty cocky. But I had a lot of fun last night. I had forgotten how fun it is to go to a really huge concert!!!  The suite was really great. I didn't know until just lately that my dad's company even had a suite at Xcel. THANKS DAD, I would have been going to other shows too if I knew I could get them for free!!  Kinda funny, I went to the show, my sister was at the show AND my brother...yet, we didn't go together, haha. Family Love.

Sheila & I brought my brother Alex(his 1st concert) & his friend Willy for his 13th birthday. He had a lot of fun. You could tell he felt cool & had a blast! It was great seeing Sheila too! She's one of my greatest friends ever, so I love everytime we get a chance to hang out since she lives so far away from me right now.  I won't be helping the hanging out situation when I move to Maryland BUT that just means I'll have another visitor to fly out and see me :o)
I think that'd be SO fun to live with Sheila, when I finish school. She's responsible and classy but still likes to have a good time so it'd be fun to live with her while we are both starting careers!

Back to Fall Out Boy....I have really gained a new respect for them. They put on a great show!  I was surprised at how many AAR songs that I knew!  I pretty much only went for my brother, not so much thinking I would know the songs or whatever.  Fall Out Boy was a lot of fun. It was fun to dance along to most of their songs and see the crowd go nuts for them. A lot of energy.

I think my two favorite parts though...people kept crowd surfing & this one dude in a green shirt crowd surfed to the front when Pete was talking and the song was over, so Pete was like dude there's not even any music, and the green shirt guy was like tweaking out so hyper and such, so Pete was like dude get up on stage, the security guards wouldn't let him up at first cause they didn't realize Pete was talking to him. But he got up on stage and was awesome got the whole crowd cheering and yelling and he was bowing down to the band so it was pretty funny, and then they had in sit down so they could start the song, so he was sitting in front of the microphones on the little bleacher thing...and they had him stage dive. WHAT an amazing moment. So the song started everyone was having fun, dancing, singing, screaming and homeboy in the green shirt runs off the stage and is caught by the crowd.  How memorable. I mean this dude is probably seeing one of his favorite bands, and then they invite him up on the stage and then they let him stage dive while they sing and they shout for him mid-song while he's jumping.  That had to be such a high.  I mean I could never ever see myself trusting others enough to jump off a stage but he did so that had to be so amazing!

And my other favorite part, beside the fun music and such, is when Pete, again, talked to the crowd for a bit.  In between songs, he says he wants to say something that might not be a popular thought but he has the fucking mic so he's gonna do it anyways, ha.  So he's like (pretty much word for word) "A lot of people have been hating on us and calling us the Fag Boys and that we're gay....Well i want you to know that gay and fag is not a synonym for shitty.  There are at least 5 other words you can use if you want to say something is shitty.  So if instead of saying something is stupid or shitty, you say it's gay, then take your homophobic ass out of this building, return our cd's, shirts, and any merch you may have and go join the KKK rally outside!!!"       that. was. amazing.

and of ALLLL the concerts in the world for my brother to be at, this was the perfect one for him.  my mom, dad and I sat my brother down just the night before the concert and talked to him about how often he uses the word gay and fag and that it was getting old. I've talked to him numerous times about it & that one day he's gonna get his ass whooped by someone less understanding if he keeps running his mouth....and then to have one of his favorite bands take a few minutes from the show to talke about how hateful and shitty it is to use those words as a negative expression...it was just great. PERFECT timing.  I'm not gonna lie, I'm sure he'll still use the word, but between my talks, and my parents and Fall Out Boy talking about it, he's gonna have that pop into his head each time he says it from here on out and hopefully uses it less and less and eventually stop.

it's such a beautiful day out...i guess there is a This World Fair show tonight, so I might join Ash & Bree in the festivities, but I'm kinda in the mood to just kick back and enjoy a good old bonfire tonight!!
