so, so useless
This weekend was the most unproductive of this semester to date, but I'm sure this next weekend, being Y-Con will trump it. (Speaking of, I'm thinking dinner on Friday or Saturday night for CFUDers, since all my panel bitch time is on Sunday. More details to be figured out when my brain is in the aforementioned working state.)
On Saturday, I got to go to the Treasure Island Music Festival with essandem--full of good music, but I felt rather out of place being one of the most sober people there, as there was a legion of smokers of all strips and drinkers surrounding me--I'm not much for drinking beer for 10 hours straight and that much smoking just clogs my nose and makes me kind of cranky. Eh. Next time, brining more cool sober people.
On Sunday I hung out with ryuutchi, failed at buying used books, bought a collection of a cool YA novel called The City of Ember instead, tried my hand at solving a Sherlokian pastiche (and got more details right then I had any hope of getting) and otherwise spent my time enjoyably.
Today is just kind of a gray area--my USB hard drive is having Issues with my computer, my back aches, and I don't want to deal with class today. But I'm going to art class at least because it's going to be my favorite day. Critique. Yippie. Gotta strong arm my way through the rest of the week. I can, however, do this. Must not get distracted...
To do list:
- In progress: write up to p. 7, essay, do rough "suggested" schedule for CBM for October.
- To do: finish TNJ and In The Name of Identity (a book I recommend to everyone who is confused or interested as I am about intersections of identity), some more math homework
- To think about: packing list, website, Fight Club (Wendsday night.), new Exalted upgrades list, app, posts
