(no subject)
Bad things: No trailers have yet arrived for the showings of 300 tomorrow. However, I have PLENTY of adverts from Pearl & Dean (just not the ones they want us to show) knocking about so at least there'll be summat on before the film so people can settle down.
Sam put together 300 without me, which has really annoyed me for no apparent reason. I only wanted to do it for the practise (so that when I have to teach the new junior projectionists I'm not frantically trying to remember stuff on the fly) so to be this annoyed is unreasonable.
My room is still a complete tip but I lack the motivation to un-tippify it.
Good things: I'm in a kind of band! Well, it's not really a band, just a group of people wanting to play through some songs, they needed a bassist, and I'm the only one they know. Unfortunately the guy who started this is really into his metalcore so the songs I have to learn are currently:
Lamb of God - Redneck, Walk With Me In Hell
Avenged Sevenfold - Unholy Confessions
Killswitch Engage - Last Serenade, Life To Lifelessness
However, then we have:
Slayer - Raining Blood, Disciple
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Megadeth - Holy Wars (my request w00ts)
Some of these are unbelievably fast and I'm not that good at playing bass so I'll guess a lot of practising is called for. I just hate it when I'm incredibly shit at things (sort of why I'm posting to LJ now instead of practising) and even more when I demonstrate my huge lack of skill in front of very skilled people I know. Anyway, better get on with Redneck I guess.
