I needed someone other than Luke to tell Reid about Luke's past so hopefully Reid can understand why Luke acts the way he does with Reid.

If only Luke just told Reid all of this it would have made him understand a bit more. I think this was better hearing it from his parents cause then Luke would think he was whining to Reid about his past and also that it allowed Reid to not only understand Luke but also to see the perspective of his parents over-protectiveness.

I'm glad your feeling better but it was worth the wait and Chris confronting Reid was funny as hell. I wonder what Katie will say when Chris runs and complains to her?

THIS. Exactly! Luke is trying to have a better relationship with Reid than he did with Noah and the last thing he wants to do is bring up all that not-so-pleasant stuff with Noah.

I need to include more Chris and Katie. Love writing them interacting with LuRe.

I'm thrilled to see this update and am glad to read that you're feeling better!

It was very good for Reid to hear all about Noah. This was an important glimpse into what motivates Luke to react the way he does. Hopefully going forward they'll be much more on the same page now.

Great update. I love how Reid was able to connect the dots of Luke's behavior to the history given by Holden and Lily. Reid's own personal pep talk was funny..."You won over Grimaldi Sr. You can do the same with these two. Watch your mouth, watch your mouth...you can do this"

With this understanding I suspect we will be seeing a whole different side to Reid.
