So I posted an entry a while back about soap actors who should be Hollywood stars. Billy Magnussen is well on his way! He's in a Spielberg film!

Congrats to Billy Im sure he's worked damn hard to get where he is at now.

I guess the thing is with Van if he really wants all that fame/fortune etc for the moment he seems happy to be doing what he's doing The Web series route and IF the movie get's funded hopefully he will get more noterity/attention.

I guess what Im trying to say is Van does what he wants to do and that's awesome, Would I like him to be more well known of course but it's his career/choices. I do believe that Van recently (Sometime earlier this year) switched to a new manager or agent don't ask me the name of it cause I can't recall who it is so maybe that will help his acting career more.

In the meantime have some Dancingish Van hehe

If it's true that he's gotten a new manager/agent, that's good. Just hope his coming out doesn't hurt him.

Yeah, I knew it was her. I'm very familiar with studio COOs and presidents so I knew Cody was Alan Horn's daughter. I think it definitely led to Billy getting connections.

Yup Cool indeed though he should have put an Eastsiders or ATWT clip in his Demo reel maybe he will update it next year after S2 of Eastsiders or Msguidance that's the one thing Im most hanging out for *Hee I wonder why whistles*

Thanks for posting this. I think they are smart to not show him in a soap, which are pretty much dead these days. What he needs on the reel is a role where he is a grown-up. Hopefully this new movie will show him in that kind of light.

Yeh I agree he needs non soap stuff on his reel.

He should have IMO put in a tiny bit of Pale Swan nothing wrong with a little bit of variety in Demo Reel's.

Fingers crossed the movie will let him shake off the Soap Star Actor that he is best known for
