10 days, 4 dogs

For the next 10 days or so I have 4 dogs. It's a nightmare to walk my own two, but now I need to go for double the walks. There is no way that I can handle 4 at once.
I love my pugs, I think they are fantastic. The additional 2 dogs for this week are miniature schnauzers, and, well, I love them when I don't have to look after them. Maggie just has to look at anything with burrs or thistles and it's stuck in her fur. AND she hates being brushed. Toby eats like its his last meal every time, making a huge mess on the floor and getting so much in his beard that its disgusting. Even wiping his face after each meal doesn't help much.
These dogs are so high maintenance. They eat 4 times a day, every 4 hours, a combination of kibble and canned food with extra water to make 'gravy'. Plus watermelon at 7 every night. Then there are the 4-6 walks a day that they expect. And its not like they let me forget either. The pawing and the howling ensure they get what they want!

But they're family.

On another note, I keep trying to start an exercise program and I keep getting side tracked. I get about 3 days into it and then skip a day or, well, 5, so its like starting all over again. On GoodReads I put my name in for an exercise book, Tracy Anderson's 30 Day Method. Its very in depth. And it requires more than I expected. It has a strict diet to follow and specific exercises for each day. I can't get through the cardio section on the DVD either... I'm that out of shape. But I'm telling myself each time I try it, it gets easier. I made it through all the strength exercises and 10 minutes of cardio, for a 45 minute total workout. I think that's success for today!
