I don't have jury duty!!!!

Mwahahaha...I have escaped jury duty. I hate hate hate jury duty. I may have committed a small misdemeanor, as I forgot to call in on Monday...but on tuesday they said we were all dismissed.

Its been a weird couple days. Saw my ex. The "one who got away" if you will. We laid on his hotel bed side by side without touching and talked for a few hours. Which was a uniquely beautiful and excrutiatingly painful experience at the same time. I suppose that the good thing about being poly, and having the relationship that Sam and I do, is that I never have to completely write him off. But Sean wants things still that I can never be, and never provide. He lives in a word where people would do anything, and give anything up, for the one they love. In my world, you love more than one person. It was good to see him, despite the ensuing sadness, and I won't be disapointed if he does end up in Seattle. It would be nice to chill with him again. Before we dated, he was one of those guy friends that you have that spoil your friendships with other men. He and Paul, and BJ, and Smith set my expectations to high. I miss the fun we all had.

Speaking of fun, yesterday was better. My old homie Matt came into town, bringing his friend Adrian. John B joined us all for drinks. And despite my discovering that Long Island Iced Tea (mmmmsotasty) is no friend of mine, it was a really great night. We laughed, talked about the random people we know. Had one-up contests over who had sex where. John B won. Impressive that one. Adrian was D.D. and eventually cut us all off, taking me and John B home, and carting Matt back to Bremerton. As neither of us were in any condition to give directions to his new house, John B stayed here. He and I laid on the floor telling stories of our childhoods and discussing what we had to do to realize our dreams. I learned more about him, and got a little more my friendship comfort zone. I love love love nights like that. Where its just easy and the conversation flows like water. Despite how late I was to work, and my new title of being first to vomit in public it was a really good night.

Speaking of night, its night night time for me. I've managed to make it through about 14 hours of serious hangover, and I'm done now.
