A Dollars Worth
In the world I like to call my mind, I am buried with random thoughts. Things that most people can escape
however strange they are; I mean no one really cares how deep the ocean would be if sponges didn't live there. The world has never lost any sleep over the fact that there are no names for the tops of your feet. I have
even pondered buttering a cats back to see if it still lands on it feet. I just can not ponder the fact that some day we will have one dollar coins with Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and old George W. Bush on them. I know this is
a precursor to the Three Stooges coin set. I think I'd feel better if Homer Simpson was on the buck , then Tricky Dickie. If they want to pay tribute to a group. Perhaps they could honor the veterans whom have served this country during World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, The Cold War, Desert Storm, and Iraq.... All of these men & women deserve to be on the dollar. God knows they have payed the price. They are the backbone of this nation, without which the presidents mean nothing. I feel an effort needs to be made to write congress and the mint to make it so. It would be nice to back our money with something better than our mouths. That ends the soap box stand for today. I seem to have lost my though. Please write and share this idea.
