I don't think I would have liked Babe Ruth.
Yes, you heard me correctly, had I lived in the 20's and 30's people would have come up to me and mentioned that awesome called shot and I would have called it arrogant. I would have taken one look at that dude and decided he was everything the game shouldn't be, and that Lou Gehrig was everything that the game should be.
I still think that's true.
But I didn't realize until today that my personal standards for players would have axed Babe Ruth from the favorites list. Wow.
