Rising prices
Darby has been doing a lot more chores this week because she got an advance on her allowance this past weekend to buy a book. The deal was that she couldn't complain about doing the extra chores if she wanted an advance. Last night, I told her that after she washed dishes, we would need to fold all the clean clothes (and there were a lot of them) before we could do anything else. The first thing out of her mouth was "Awwww....um" and then she cut herself short and cleared her throat instead. I love how she is becoming aware of everything she does and the consequences of her actions. She also spilled half a bag of trail mix on the floor yesterday and before I could say anything, she started crying: "You just bought this bag yesterday and now half of it is wasted and that's money down the drain!"
