Another black box

Got a new computer case today. My old CoolerMaster Centurion, I'm ashamed to say, has been rusting for over a year. It was advertised as aluminium, and so rust-proof. Turns out the ventilation grilles in front (making up almost the entire front panel) were definitely not aluminium and have been turning brown and falling to bits.

Went hunting for a case today and what did I see in the first shop I walked into? Black box after black box, usually with featureless fronts so the only features to distinguish them were height and width. Man, I remember case designs being more appealing than this the last time I bought one: my old Centurion at least had blue brushed metal highlights on the front panel.

Anyway, went for Lian Li this time, which is known for its aluminium cases. Plain black and unfortunately the front panel is almost featureless except for the power leds and a blue glow from the front fan. Configuration hasn't changed much over the years, except that the power supply is now at the bottom and the power switch and USB ports at the top. Took over 3 hours to dismantle and shift over to the new case, but everything seems to be working, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
