So, the Peanut ButterPoo Brown VolksWagen is at the auto-electrician this morning having her ignition switch bypassed. Bypass surgery at thirty-five, my poor girl. She's so young. Hehehe.
Originally, it was going to cost me $110, but I played the (very real) poor-student card, and he knocked it down to $98 for me. I was most grateful, bless his little Irish underpants, or whatever Gallic drawers he wears.
I walked home, twenty-five minutes, from his shop, and I'm about to walk back again to pick her up. (That'll be two brisk walks of 45 minutes+ in the last two days! Yay me!). It was a nice walk, through a park and along the freeway-free part of the Mullum-Mullum creek, although I did shit myself at one point when I thought I heard footsteps behind me. It was only my paranoid imagination, though. Happily,
mike_zero called me just after that and talked to me while I walked the rest of the path, distracting me from delusions of muggery. There were magpies in the park before the path, and they stalked me as I walked by. I thought I was going to get swooped, so I threw them a piece of my Nutrigrain breakfast bar, and they fortunately swooped that instead. I'm going to take some bread with me on my walk back, just in case.
Today, I have to work from 15:00 to 19:00, and then I'm going to tidy my pigstybedroom. With the car, work, uni and tooth issues of this week, I've just not had time or inclination to do it until now.
