Tennis, frustration and thank yous, but not in that order.

Firstly, I'd just like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for wishing me well and all the hugs and support over the last few days. I greatly appreciate it, and i know many of you understand what's happening for me first hand. I'll get there, and I just have to try to remember that.

I went to tennis last night with Mike, and watched him get all sweaty and frustrated, which was quite fun...for me. One of the guys on his team brought a little black-and-white telly and put the cricekt on, so I listened to the cricket and watched the tennis. It was quite confusing. I managed a bit of study, but my concentration lasts about twenty minutes maximum at the moment, and I got restless.

An older man came and chatted to me after he'd finished playing and we talked about the youth of today and the difficulties we face in finding something we like, can do and want to do. In his day and age, they did a job, and that was it. Now, we are expected to go to uni and learn NOTHING, have careers, and be adaptable and apply our skills (and where the hell do we get those, dammit?!) to any job. It's crazy. Anyway, he didn't understand the things I explained to him, but I hope his youngest son who is experinecing the same sorts of stresses as me when it comes to finding a path.

uni, goals, mike, depression
