...A castle? When did they put a castle here?

[Someone has not found the bouncy castle yet--oh, video. Aerith leans forward, peering at the journal.]

It's so... [rubbery.] Okay, I think I know where that area is! [And she drops her voice to conspiratorial whisper.] I'll come over and see if there's a way to sneak you out!

My hero.

Hi, Aerith.

That's me~ Hello, Buffy. I'm so glad you're okay! Besides... obnoxious toaster ovens.

...Did you do something? They've been tossing people in that other place for things, but bouncy castles don't seem as much like a punishment.

[And this is how Aerith is clearly different from Buffy.]

It is when all a girl wants to do is get out of said bouncy castle and see her sister and get a hot meal and find a change of clothes and maybe visit her boyfriend.

[...Oh, the dress... they threw her in there straight from her kidnapping, didn't they? No, not from--because really, she's still kidnapped! Aerith frowns and then downright scowls as she realizes that implication.]

They're really unbelievable... Well, you are getting out! There has to be something we can do.

So far? The MO seems to be to win me a prize and eventually, when enough prizes are won? They'll let me walk out a free woman.

[wait what.] ...Not exactly the "take charge" plan I was thinking.

Really, they want cheap toys? The same ones they've been giving us?

Sadly? I don't make the rules.

Nooooo, then they'd make too much sense.

Okay! Time to win a prize! Ah, I wonder what would be easiest for me...hm...

[She's not exactly the pinnacle of physical coordination that others in Luceti are. She's good! But the carnival uses tricks anyway.]

It's time for you to get out of that castle. Okay, let's do... the dunk tank! I can do that.

slaying August 23 2011, 21:21:55 UTC
...Be sure to dunk someone who deserves it for me.

gardenerofgaia August 24 2011, 00:28:59 UTC
Why else would I pick it? Doesn't hurt that it's not too far away.

[See: girl waving your direction, Buffy. And then Aerith turns to the dunk tank, paying the fee and picking up her balls with a determined expression.

...First one whizzes under the target, though. Oops.]

[ from a distance, she watches. cheers on. commiserates. ]

[She's going to be commiserating until the second-to-last ball, where the throw hits and a droid wearing Jacob-mask falls down with a splash!

Aerith picks the first stuffed animal she sees--a blue chocobo--and starts running over, calling out:] What now?
